Foggy mornings here in San Francisco are so perfect for Fall. This was as spooky a moment as we we're able to have this Halloween due to our work schedules. That being said, we still managed to explore our neighborhood and make the most out of our free time together.
I thought it would be fun to compile some photographs of the day to day things we've been doing. Disclaimer: Chris and I don't actually live in a color coordinated reality but I thought it would be a creative way of sharing some great memories.
St Franks Coffee House
The onset of the Fall season has catalyzed our coffee connoisseurship. One of the many amazing things about San Francisco is it's culinary critique and that includes it's gourmet coffee spots. We recently tried St Franks on Polk street. Their tasting flight was a cute and visually decadent way to get familiar with their unique beverages. My favorite was their latte but I look forward to trying their Lavender Honey version next time we're in the area!
A time for Strength, Unity, and Grace
I am specifically choosing to not write lengthy political commentary here on my travel blog, so what I would like to say is, now, more than ever it's important for women to feel empowered, to feel confident in who they are. Today strength, unity, grace, and understanding are necessity.
Just as it takes courage to explore unknown experiences, so does it to love one another despite differences. We need to civilly persuade, discuss, and, just as importantly, listen to other's different points of view in order to move forward. We'll never truly progress if we leave other's behind.
Surf Season in San Francisco
Here at home, Fall is synonymous with surf. Chris has been gearing up for this year's high season by picking up a new Tomo Sci Fi, new O'neill PsychoFreak wetsuit. and my favorite new toy, the little surf beast below. I am so excited that now Chris can check surf before committing to walking down to China Beach. Not that I am at all complaining about the beautiful walk through Sea Cliff. Now if only the surf would chill for a moment. Mavericks sized waves are slightly more than necessary for a good time.
Our new Ruckus has been quite a hit around the neighborhood! I'll be posting more about our adventures with is soon!
As we move forward into the Holidays, here are some more things we're excited about:
Seeing family
Practicing dishes for our Vegetarian Thanksgiving. We're completely enthralled with recipes found here on Bon Appetit
Starting our Winter garden with tips and tricks found on one of my favorite gardening blogs: Bees and Roses
New yoga classes at Bikram Yoga Seacliff
Travel to Tahoe, Florida, and Monterrey Aquarium!
